EKU: Black Stone Cherry
Following The Veer Union was a band originally from Southern Kentucky, Black Stone Cherry. They have hit it pretty big and have been touring with lots of great bands. Everyone at Eastern Kentucky University was very welcoming to rockers from their home state.
Immediately after hitting the stage, the kicked into an explosive set which got the crowd on their feet. It seemed like all the members of the band were very into the music and just as excited. They put on a great show. I had heard some of their music before seeing them, but seeing them live definitely caught my attention and conveyed how good of a band they are. Below are five of the photos that I uploaded to my Flickr.

It seemed like during this band’s set, they had some less intense lighting, but were harder to take photos of due to their energy. One of the guitarists in particular would not stand still and was constantly running and jumping around the stage.
Black Stone Cherry put on a great show and definitely caught my attention. They were extremely skilled at their instruments, and had some long, rock star, hair which made for some amazing headbanging.
