Model Shoot: Brittany

Back in April I contacted a model named Brittany on Facebook in hopes of arranging a shoot. Between school, getting engaged, and getting married, she was pretty busy over the next few months. After things calmed down, we started talking about the shoot again and worked out a time and theme. I met up with Brittany and her husband John a couple days ago for some lunch, and then traveled to the first location of our shoot. The idea for these shots was to write various things on her hands and use a variety of poses and angles to create some fun shots. Below are the first set of photos we did at the first location. To view them all, check out the Hand Writing set on my Flickr.

After we were done shooting at the first location, we drove down to Manchester St and went to the railroad tracks nearby and took some quick couples shots before heading to the nearby graffiti walls. Below are some of the train track photos I took. To view them all, check out the Train Tracks set on my Flickr.

Right beside the railroad tracks were a number of graffiti designs that we definitely wanted to take full advantage of. Between the over-sized grinning skull and the dynamic green/blue lettering, we had our pick of fun backgrounds to play off of. First, I took a lot of solo shots with Brittany, including some great ones with wild angry faces (which I always love). Then we took some fun couples shots near the skeleton. Below are some of the photos from the Graffiti Wall set on my Flickr.

After we finished shooting next to the graffiti, we wandered over to and old abandoned warehouse on the same lot and found a ton of crumbling bricks and beautiful wild flowers. We used the outside wall of the warehouse as a nice brick backdrop with an urban feel. Below are some shots from that location, including some photos of Brittany in the flower stalks and some couples shots against the crumbled bricks. To view them all, check out the Old Warehouse set on my Flickr.

Lastly, as we were getting ready to leave, we noticed an old clay pipe that went through the wall we were shooting against. Suddenly, we all got this spark of inspiration at the same time, and I ran around to the other side of the wall. On the other side, the pipe was along the ground, so I had to lay down flat to the ground, but was able to take some cool photos through the pipe. It was a fun way to end a long day of shooting. As with the others, you can see all the photos in the Down the Pipe set on my Flickr.
