Buster’s:TodaytheMoon,TomorrowtheSun
Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun achieved two big feats. Not only do they have one of the longest names for a band I have seen, but they also put on one of the best shows I have been to at Buster’s this last Saturday night. Opening for Today the Moon was the high energy rock-a-billy meets alternative band, Varsovia. As they announced during their set, it was actually Varsovia’s last gig as a group, which was definitely unfortunate since they put on a good show. Below are some of the photos I took of Varsovia. To view them all, check out the Varsovia set on my Flickr.

Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun hit the stage not long after Varsovia finished their set. They had a unique setup, in that the lead singer also played rhythm guitar and keyboard, while the bassist also played keyboard and was a backup singer. It worked out really well and a added a variety of sounds to each of their songs. The lead guitarist seems to break into spontaneous solos which usually consisted of feedback created by the amps or pedals, and really added a dynamic intensity to the songs. The drummer did his part and added a lot of explosive lines to the songs that seemed to round everything out. Below are some of the photos I took during their set.
