Here Come The Mummies @ Buster’s

April 16th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured

Here Come The Mummies returned to Lexington with a big crowd, undead body wrap, and with brass instruments blazing. The past few times ‘The Mummies’ rolled through town I wasn’t able to see them but heard great things about them. They definitely lived up to their reputation.

Shooting Notes:

Admittedly, I was fairly disappointed when I learned that the band was not allowing photographers to shoot from the pit. This meant shots from the packed crowd with raised hands lining the bottom of each shot. I managed to get a decent shooting position and the only real issue was the tough lighting which consisted of dark washes of blues and reds. Despite the conditions, the band was absolutely great live, and made shooting them all the better.

It was a great show, and definetly made up for being an hour late!

I don’t know about some of these shots. I could only see a couple of dental fillings on one. Get a better “close up” next time. ;) Absolutely great shots!! Thanks for posting them.
