Machine Head kicked off the main stage with a blistering set that got a somewhat burnt out (literally, since it was high 90s all day) crowd back into the show and excited again for the rest of the night. They were the perfect way to get the ball rolling for a long night of big acts.
The sun was starting to go down and the main stage actually had proper lights and stage setups for each band, which always makes things more interesting to shoot. Not to mention the pit was larger and more spread out so the photographers had a bit more space to get the shot they wanted and then move on to the next without getting clogged along the way. Machine Head put on a solid show with put a lot of expression into their music and show.
