Manchester Orchestra kicked things off at the Honda Civic Tour’s stop in Cincinnati last weekend. Having missed this band when they played Lexington around two years ago, I was happy to be able to see them live and experience all the praise I have heard about them first-hand.
Their lights stayed pretty similar most of the time, with some nice colors blanketing the back with some white light covering the front. Most of the members were well lit, but the drummer in the back (as there was another one on the side) had little to no light which did make things challenging. As the natural light began to wane into the third song, the stage lights became a lot more prevalent and made for some nice shots with lots of rich colors. Lighting aside, the band were very fun to shoot and put on one hell of a live show. The set was very high-energy and it seemed like each of the members put a lot into their performance, which is always great to see.
