About

Hello, my name is Paul Hooper. I work in marketing, graphic design, and web design for a day job, but enjoy many other hobbies such as photography, journalism, disc golf, mountain biking, and gaming.

I have a strong passion for all forms of art. I was in an art program for nine years leading up to college, which enriched my interest in visual design and photography. Since I didn’t have painting supplies readily available to me at college, I began to play around with graphic design and web design. Digital design soon filled my need to produce art.

My passion for photography took root after I decided to randomly take a photography class in high school. I used and old manual 35mm Minolta X-700 that my dad had given me, and learned to develop film using chemicals and a dark room. A few years later, a trip to Ireland and a point-and-shoot camera brought life back into my hobby and put pressure on me to invest in a nice DSLR that I could begin to use for various photography in my spare time. I purchased a Nikon D90 and a Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 lens which seemed to be the perfect machine to support my curiosity.

I am always looking for new places, bands, and models to take photos of. It is a true labor of love for me and something that I don’t mind investing my time into.
