The Black Keys Tour Opener @ US Bank Arena

Posted March 4th, 2012 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

On their first arena tour, and the first night of that tour, The Black Keys rocked the paint off the walls at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati. They had fans engaged from the beginning of their set with their heavy, melodic blues-rock. As a photographer, this was a fun shoot. As a fan, it was one of the best shows I’ve seen. Arctic Monkeys @ US Bank Arena

Coming from Sheffield across the pond, the Arctic Monkeys opened for The Black Keys in Cincinnati at the Keys’ tour opener. With a notable catalogue of their own, the Arctic Monkeys fired through a solid set. Continue Reading »

Bush @ PNC Pavilion

Posted October 10th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Bush was one of many bands which shaped my music tasted through middle and high school. Being able to see them live after all these years and experience that through a camera lens was nothing short of a treat. Continue Reading »

Chevelle @ PNC Pavilion

Although Chevelle’s lighting was very challenging, they put on an electric set which was a perfect appetizer for Bush. Whether you were a fan before or not, it’s hard not to enjoy their music. Continue Reading »

Chris Brown @ Riverbend Music Center

Posted September 30th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Say what you will about Chris Brown, but that man can dance. With an awesome stage setup and lights filled with bright colors and roaming lasers, Chris Brown was one of the more visually amazing shows I’ve shot this year. Hit the jump to check out my shots from when stopped in Cincinnati. Continue Reading »

T-Pain @ Riverbend Music Center

Posted September 28th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Being this generation’s hook man is no easy feat, but T-Pain seems to handle it well. Chances are if you’ve heard one of major pop rap songs in the last 5 years, T-Pain had some sort of association with it. With a near endless catalogue of not just his own music, but the vast number of songs he’s been on, he rolled from hit to hit during his set at Cincinnati. Continue Reading »

Kelly Rowland @ Riverbend Music Center

Posted September 26th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Although Kelly Rowland has somewhat followed in the shadow of Beyonce’s explosion since Destiny’s Child, she still has the vocal chops and dance moves that made her a critical part of the vocal trio. With a new album out, she’s poised to swing the spotlight on herself. As you can tell from the following shots, she had one of the most fun and energetic sets I’ve shot this year with some great dancing by herself and her backups. Continue Reading »

Blink-182 @ Riverbend Music Center

Posted August 28th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Few bands out there have a stage presence like Blink-182, in more ways than one. Not only are they extremely raucous and vulgarly hysterical, but they put more personality and energy into their show than any other group out there. Always a treat for any concert photographer, Blink-182 love music and love their fans, and it’s very evident during their live shows. Continue Reading »

My Chemical Romance @ Riverbend Music Center

Posted August 27th, 2011 in Concerts, Featured by Paul

Taking the stage to an extremely welcoming crowd, My Chemical Romance filled out the rest of the bill which also included Manchester Orchestra before them and Blink-182, who headlined this year’s Honda Civic Tour. To be frank (even though I’m Paul), I’ve never been much of a MCR fan, but musical tastes aside, they put on an amazing live show! Continue Reading »

Manchester Orchestra @ Riverbend Music Center

Manchester Orchestra kicked things off at the Honda Civic Tour’s stop in Cincinnati last weekend. Having missed this band when they played Lexington around two years ago, I was happy to be able to see them live and experience all the praise I have heard about them first-hand. Continue Reading »
