Machine Head kicked off the main stage with a blistering set that got a somewhat burnt out (literally, since it was high 90s all day) crowd back into the show and excited again for the rest of the night. Straight Line Stitch was the first band I caught at Mayhem Fest in Cincinnati this past week. Being the only female-fronted band on the tour meant that they definitely had a unique sound that set them apart from the rest of the groups. Talk to any photographer who has shot Rob Zombie before and they will tell you it’s one of the toughest shoots they’ve ever done with mostly red lighting.
